• The balloon is unfurled and loosely straightened. A large industrial fan helps send an air bubble to meet the end of the fabric. The goal is to get it inflated enough to use the igniter for the rest of the process.

• INSTRUMENTS

  The pilot used various instruments to measure wind speed & direction, elevation, travel speed, etc. It was really interesting to see how quickly the balloon could be accelerated, turned and raised.

• The light was playing games all day, from dawn to noon. The shadows would change between every glance and create incredible patterns.
